What We've Been Doing for the Last Month!
Hello!
We've been so busy moving to our new studio in LoLa (Lower Lawrenceville) that we've not had too much time to blog. We love our new space and are anxious to show it to our clients, actors and extras! It's great because there is free and plentiful on-street parking (no more meters or parking garage fees) which helps everyone immensely.
We have a new spacious studio with professional lighting by Pittsburgh's own Adam Stephenson who you've seen on countless film and commercial shoots in Pittsburgh.
We have continued to work through this process casting jobs for PA Lottery, The Environmental Defense Fund, Highmark and King's Family Restaurants.
We are looking forward to a busy summer so if you are not on file with us, please fill out a free profile at www.mossercasting.com or activate your profile so you can market yourself with a full-blown talent website by Agency Pro Software! Either way you are ready to work on commercials, films and corporate projects that we cast.
Hope to see you soon!

YOUR SUPPORT IS NEEDED NOW FOR THE FILM TAX CREDIT!
Dear Supporters of the Film Industry in SWPA:
Thank you all for your past support of the film industry in SWPA and in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. As you are aware, we are in the second year of our successful $75 million dollar tax credit program for the film industry and it has continued to show great success for all of us.
Unfortunately, due to the economic crisis, both nationally and statewide, the tax credit for the film industry has become a target for some legislators. It is thought that by eliminating this vital and viable program that the state will save money.
As we all know, this could not be farther from the truth. Since the inception of the tax credits, we have seen over $63 million spent in the SWPA region and over $300 million statewide. Representative Ron Marsico sent the attached press release out yesterday. It is unfortunate that Rep. Marsico does not understand how the tax credit is crucial to the ongoing and growing film industry in Pennsylvania. We need your assistance in helping Rep. Marsico understand that the tax credits are important to you, your livelihood and your businesses.
In addition, Senator Pat Vance has sent out a co-sponsor request for legislation she is planning on introducing that would suspend the film tax credit until 2010.
Both Rep. Marsico's and Senator Vance's contact information is below. If you could please take a moment, call their offices and let him know why it is important to you it would be very helpful and instrumental in helping to keep the tax credits for the 2009-2010 fiscal year.
We know next year's budget is going to be tight and there will be a battle over the film industry tax credits, as other groups try to get more for their own industries. This, unfortunately, will probably be the first of many "calls to action" you will receive from the PFO. We will all need to work together to keep this important program intact and growing.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call us at 412-261-2744.
Thank you!

Headshot Days are a Big Hit at NMC!
Hello All!
It is always a good idea to have current headshots and we have come up with an easy and economical way to do so.
Photographer Nicholas Critelli contacted me with a great idea to help talent on our database get professional photos.
Every day I get calls from talent asking where to get headshots done in Pittsburgh at a reasonable cost. Nicholas and I decided to combine our resources and provide headshot services at our casting office on certain Saturdays. A professional makeup artist will be on hand to help assure that you look your best.
NEXT HEADSHOT DAY IS SATURDAY MAY 30TH AT NMC, 3583 Butler Street, Pgh, 15201. Call Nicholas Critelli for appointments: 412.526.9339. www.nicholascritelli.com.
Thanks,
Nancy
